Salawat: The Path to Intercession

Hawzah News Agency- The Holy Prophet (pbuh and his family) said:

مَنْ أَرَادَ التَّوَسُّلَ إِلَيَّ، وَأَنْ تَكُونَ لَهُ عِنْدِي يَدٌ أَشْفَعُ لَهُ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، فَلْيُصَلِّ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِي وَيُدْخِلِ السُّرُورَ عَلَيْهِمْ.

Whoever wishes to seek a means of approach to me, and wants me to owe them a favor [that I may repay] by interceding for them on the Day of Resurrection, let them send blessings (salawat) upon my Ahlul-Bayt and bring joy (satisfaction) to them.
